Script Typefaces

Script typefaces are based upon the varied and often fluid stroke created by handwriting, using a pen, pencil, paint brushes and hand. They are generally used for display or trade printing,  Some Greek alphabet typefaces, especially historically, have been a closer simulation of handwriting. Typical characteristics of these script type fonts are, they look connected or nearly connected flowing and slanted or rounded.
In the 18th century, almost everything was written in a cursive script, including business letters. Nowadays, most script fonts are mostly used for greeting cards, wedding, and invitations. Script fonts look good only when they are mixed with non-script fonts. Script fonts in all caps do not look good as they become unreadable.
